Victor B. LeboviciVic Lebovici joined the firm in 1982 and became a senior partner in 1990. His activities span the practice of intellectual property law. He represents companies of all sizes and individuals before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office in patent and trademark matters, primarily in the fields of networking, computer systems, electronic devices and systems, computer software, mechanical and electro-mechanical devices, and has assisted his clients in developing and managing worldwide patent and trademark portfolios. He has negotiated numerous technology licensing and development agreements. Mr. Lebovici has supported the due diligence activities of his clients in mergers, acquisitions and public offerings as intellectual property counsel. He has performed IP audits to assess intellectual property assets and is frequently called upon to provide counsel and render opinions regarding issues of infringement and validity of patents. He has participated in high profile patent litigations and arbitrations during his tenure with the firm. Mr. Lebovici remains directly involved in all client matters from the initial engagement and thereafter to assure that the client’s objectives are expeditiously and aggressively pursued in a cost effective manner. For 11 years prior to joining the firm, Mr. Lebovici worked as an electrical engineer designing complex electronic equipment and software systems. His technical experience includes the design of electronic instrumentation, minicomputer memory systems, address translation units, computer interfaces, test equipment, power supplies and other analog and digital equipment and systems. Mr. Lebovici graduated from Cornell University in 1970 with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and was admitted to the Eta Kappa Nu electrical engineering honorary society. He received a Master of Electrical Engineering degree from Cornell University in 1971. In 1975 Mr. Lebovici received an M.B.A. degree from Northeastern University and was elected to the Beta Gamma Sigma honorary society. He received his Juris Doctorate, cum laude, from Suffolk University in 1980 where he was selected for the Law Review and admitted to the Phi Delta Phi legal fraternity. Mr. Lebovici was admitted to the Massachusetts bar in 1980. Additionally, he is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin, and the U.S. Supreme Court. He was registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office in 1982.
