Charles L. Gagnebin IIIBuzz Gagnebin, a senior partner with the firm, practices in all areas of the firm's business and brings particular strength in high technology and its licensing, and in trademark, copyright and the international areas. His technical expertise extends to the mechanics, physics and electronics arts with particular emphasis in light systems, instrumentation, computers, software, and control systems. Mr. Gagnebin was born in Boston, Massachusetts, and was admitted to the bar in Massachusetts in 1969. He is also admitted in the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, and the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts. He is also registered to practice before U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. He has been a speaker at numerous seminars, including "Copyright Act of 1976," Seminar of the Boston Patent Law Association, 1978; and "Living with Environmental Law," Seminar of Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education, Inc., 1973. He has also been the author of several MIT Instrumentation Laboratory publications on Reliability Theory and Inertial Instrumentation. He has also been Adjunct Professor of Copyright Law at New England School of Law. Mr. Gagnebin holds a B.A. degree from Harvard University (1963) (Applied Physics), a M.S degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (1966) (Electrical Engineering) , and a J.D. degree from the University of Michigan (1969).
He is a member of the Worcester County, Boston (Chairman, Committee on Environment, 1973-1975) and American (Member, Section on Patent, Trademark and Copyright Law) Bar Associations, the Boston Patent Law Association (Chairman: Committee on Constitutional Bicentennial, 1987-1988 Copyright Law Committee, 1971-1977 Co-chair 1997-), and the American Intellectual Property Law Association.
